Kiribati Hope Media Director, Mr. Tarataake Angiraoi will leave for China this weekend to participate in an international training workshop titled "Global Opportunities from China’s High-Level Opening Up," scheduled to take place from April 20 to 29, 2025.
The 10-day program, funded by the Chinese government, will be held across Beijing, Chongqing, and Shanxi, and aims to promote dialogue among global media professionals on pressing challenges and opportunities in the AI-driven era.
The workshop will include expert-led sessions on China's modernization theory and its relevance to global governance, along with interactive dialogues featuring Chinese media executives, policy advisors, and international participants.
Attendees will also take part in field visits to leading media institutions and cultural heritage sites, offering a unique blend of professional development and cultural exchange.
Mr. Angiraoi’s involvement will bring valuable insight from the Pacific Island Nation and contribute meaningfully to discussions on media cooperation and global development.
His participation, fully sponsored by the Chinese government, highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen international media ties between Kiribati anda China and foster shared understanding in a rapidly changing global media landscape.
