Kiribati Mission Launches Detox Program on rejuvenating health

March 1, 2025

A health rejuvenating program was launched this morning at the Kiribati Mission community, featuring a "Walk for Life" exercise and a detox program aimed at improving the health of mission workers, including pastors and their spouses. The event, led by George Kwong, Health Director from the Trans Pacific Union in Fiji, was assisted by Mrs. Teera Katarake, the Kiribati Mission Health Director.

Dr. Kwong highlighted that the detox program is designed to eliminate toxins from the body while providing essential nutrients to help rejuvenate and restore health. Over the course of three consecutive days, participants will follow a structured regimen, with plant-based medicines administered at specific intervals. Additionally, two meals will be served daily at 10:30 a.m. and 15:30 p.m. to support the detoxification process.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to promote better health and wellness within the Kiribati Mission community.

At today’s inaugural brunch, attendees were treated to a diverse selection of foods, carefully chosen to reflect those mentioned in the Book of Genesis, specifically Genesis 1:29, which highlights fruits and grains. Dr. Kwong emphasized that this initial dietary recommendation remains the most beneficial.
