Kiribati SDA Mission Women Director Was Among 100+ Women Attending the Recent South Pacific Conference in Australia

Kiribati SDA Mission Women and Children Director, Mrs. Raaita Ruata, was among over 100 women directors from across the South Pacific region who gathered recently at Avondale University in Australia for the Women in Ministry and Leadership Conference 2025. The event, which took place from February 17-20, brought together influential female leaders in ministry to explore themes of resilience, leadership, and spiritual calling.
The conference featured a powerful lineup of expert speakers who shared invaluable insights on overcoming challenges in ministry and leadership.
Dr. Hyveth Williams, Professor of Homiletics at the SDA Theological Seminary, Andrews University, addressed the theme of "Resilience in Ministry," emphasizing the strength required to navigate the demands of spiritual leadership.
Piroska Vranyakne Feith, Minister of Religion and Associate Ministerial Secretary at Casey Seventh Day Adventist Church in the Victorian Conference, led an engaging "Leadership Lab," offering practical tools and strategies for effective leadership.
Dr. Tara Vin Cross, Senior Pastor at Azune Hills SDA Church in South East California, presented "Deep Calling," inspiring attendees to pursue their ministry with passion and commitment.
The event was designed to ignite passion and empower women to break barriers and elevate their ministry journey. Participants had the opportunity to engage in impactful workshops and networking sessions, equipping them with the tools to transform their leadership and make a lasting impact in their communities.
For Mrs. Ruata and the other women in attendance, the conference was an opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, deepen their faith, and connect with like-minded individuals across the South Pacific.

Mrs Ruata is a school teacher by profession and she has been appointed to be the director of the Women Ministry at the Kiribati Seventh-Day Adventist Mission.
